Field of Activity

Medical devices and equipment

We manage the end-to-end waste disposal of expired, cold-chain-compromised, quality-defective, or recalled medical products in cardiology, orthopedics, nutrition, eye, ear, and brain care, and of end-of-life or technologically obsolete medical equipment such as MRI, CT, ventilators, dialysis machines, and laboratory test devices. We run the process safely and with full documentation, in line with the Environmental Law, the Medical Device Regulation, the Waste Management Regulation, the WEEE Regulation, and the Regulation on the Control of Waste Batteries and Accumulators.

Overview

Medical device risk: patient data and environment

Medical products in cardiology, orthopedics, nutrition, eye, ear, and brain care enter the waste disposal process when they expire, lose their cold chain, show a quality defect, or are recalled. Healthcare institutions also use complex equipment such as MRI, CT, and X-ray devices, patient monitors, laboratory test devices, ECG/EEG units, ventilators, defibrillators, dialysis machines, and infusion pumps. These products and devices may contain hazardous chemicals, electronic components, lead, mercury, and recording units holding patient data. Improper disposal risks contaminating soil and water resources.

In Turkey, medical device waste disposal and recycling are regulated by the Environmental Law, the Medical Device Regulation, the Waste Management Regulation, the Regulation on the Management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), and the Regulation on the Control of Waste Batteries and Accumulators. Uncontrolled disposal and recycling also risk violating data privacy rules such as the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). Scrap manages this process end to end, including secure data wiping.

Process

From request to social project in 6 steps

Every step is on record; your brand and regulatory compliance stay protected throughout the process.

Step 01

Request & Proposal

We start with the request form and an expert review; devices are listed and an inventory and risk analysis is carried out. Then we prepare and present your proposal.

Step 02

Official Application & Inspection

We file the applications with the authorities and book the appointments. Inspections are completed with officials and recorded.

3
Step 03

Licensed Transport & Disposal

Online Tracking & Tax Advantage

You track the process live on the Online Tracking System, and our financial advisory expertise structures your tax advantage.

5
Step 05

You receive the official disposal certificates, photo and video records, and the Sustainable Transformation Report. The report feeds directly into your ESG and corporate sustainability reporting.

6
Step 06

Social Impact

Every medical device disposal plants a sapling and gives a child nature education. We also contribute to the TEV scholarship fund with every disposal process.
