Disposal & Recycling Consulting
What is disposal and recycling consultancy?
Disposal and recycling consulting is an end-to-end service covering the lawful disposal or recycling of products that are expired, damaged, have quality problems, have been recalled, or have lost their function or technological relevance. At Scrap, we have served seven sectors since 2007.
Disposal and recycling is not only an environmental operation; it is also a financial and legal process. Writing goods off stock falls under the damaged-goods provisions of the tax laws, while transporting the waste is governed by the Environmental Law and the sector’s own regulation. A single missing document can make even a flawless process questionable during an audit.
The process starts with your request. We then assess the products, take them over under written record and carry out the disposal and recycling step in a controlled way. Every stage is recorded, so you can follow the process in real time through our online tracking system. At the end we deliver the Sustainable Transformation Report, containing the official documents, photographs, videos and your contribution to social projects.
For branded goods, disposal and recycling is also brand protection. That is why we handle products in a closed flow under camera recording. The method is determined by the product’s content and the regulation: recycling, incineration or alternative fuel (RDF).

Frequently Asked Questions
What companies ask us most
The answers below apply to all seven fields of activity; sector-specific questions are answered on each field page.
What is disposal and recycling consulting?
It is the service that destroys or recovers, in line with the regulation, products you can no longer sell — expired, damaged, recalled or technologically obsolete goods. We plan, carry out, record and document the process, so every step from product assessment to the completion of legal notifications is managed from a single point.
Which sectors do you serve?
Scrap works in seven sectors: pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, food and beverage, textiles, packaging and electronics. Because each sector has its own regulation, traceability records and permitted disposal methods, the process is designed separately for every field.
Can disposed of or recycled goods be deducted from tax?
The written-off goods provisions of Turkish Tax Procedure Law No. 213 allow the cost of products you dispose of or recycle in line with the regulation to be treated as an expense. This requires the disposal to be carried out under the supervision of the competent authority and recorded in writing. The calculator on this site only indicates an estimated magnitude; confirm the final figure with your own accountant.
How long does the disposal process take?
It depends on the product type, the quantity and the permits required; a typical process is completed within 20–28 business days of the request. It can take longer depending on the workload of the authorities involved and the stock volume.
Which documents are delivered at the end?
At the end of the process we deliver the Sustainable Transformation Report, which contains the information and documents for every stage. All documents are archived in the online tracking system, so you can download them at any time.
How do you prevent branded products from reaching the grey market?
After the products are assessed, we seal them with Scrap security tape and load them into closed-box vehicles. Once loading is complete, the vehicle door is sealed with a Scrap security seal. Only an authorised Scrap officer opens the seal at the disposal or recycling facility, and all products are disposed of or recycled under camera recording. The chain of custody is recorded throughout and the process is closed with official records, so branded goods cannot return to the market at any stage.
