As Scrap Inc., we fulfilled our environmental responsibility by ensuring the planting of 81 saplings in 81 provinces through OGEM-VAK. In addition, since 2007, we have brought over a thousand saplings into the soil on behalf of our clients through our disposal operations.
Today, in our efforts to produce more and advance industrial development, we are accelerating global warming by emitting carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere without proper control. Individually, through our daily activities at home, in vehicles, or at work, we all contribute to this environmental burden by releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
So, what can we do individually? How can we at least offset the damage we personally cause? The answer is simple: while the process of global warming has already begun and reversing it is difficult, we can slow it down by planting trees. Trees are one of the most effective tools in the fight against climate change, as they absorb greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
In line with this understanding, Scrap Inc. has planted 81 saplings across all provinces of Türkiye through OGEM-VAK. Additionally, since 2007, we have planted over a thousand saplings on behalf of our clients as part of our destruction services. Through the seeded pencils we’ve gifted to our clients since last year, we’ve also contributed to the growth of more than a thousand saplings.
We strive—and will continue—to fulfill our environmental responsibilities both in our own name and on behalf of our clients. Furthermore, with our donations to TEMA Foundation, we also support environmental education programs that help children connect with nature.
