In short: The Cosmetics Manufacturers and Researchers Association (KÜAD) held the 4th Future in Cosmetics: What Should We Produce Summit on 18 June 2026 at Selectum City in Istanbul’s Ataşehir district. Our Chairman of the Board, Merdan Altınöz, represented Scrap Danışmanlık at the summit. The summit looked at the present and future of the cosmetics ecosystem through marketing, branding and market access.
What was discussed at the summit?
The main idea of the summit was to raise the value of production through the right digital marketing strategies. On the programme, speakers from organisations such as NielsenIQ, Deloitte and WGSN talked about sector trends and the changes in the global beauty market. The shift from supply chain to value chain and developments on the retail and technology side were also on the agenda.
Why were we at this summit?
When cosmetics manufacturers decide what to produce, they also have to think about the end of a product’s life. Safe disposal of expired or damaged products is part of protecting the brand. That is why we want to follow the sector’s agenda closely in the field. Our Chairman’s attendance at the summit was part of that effort.
How do we support cosmetics manufacturers?
We manage the disposal of cosmetic products from application to reporting. We explain the steps we follow on our cosmetics disposal page. If you would like to meet us at the sector’s next events, fill in our request form.
